Some Awesome Stuff!
From time to time I’ll post some cool links people send me that fit well with the themes of this site. Enjoy!
Royden vs The Blank Page – This is an article written by Royden Lepp who created an amazing graphic novel called “Rust”. I love his take on tackling your own project.
That blank page is taunting the creator day and night, and for some of you, that’s why you stay on the couch. There’s too much pressure. Too much competition out there. The blank page wins. If you’re a creator and you haven’t started that project that you’ve always wanted to do, this is the best time. – Royden Lepp

A Monster In Paris – color script – This link was send to me by Chris Oatley. It’s part of the color script from A Monster in Paris by Aurélien Predal and it’s beautiful. If you aren’t familiar with a color script then check this out and learn. All the animation movies I work on make a color script so that everyone can reference it and make sure the theme and emotional beats of the movie work nicely together and stay consistent. There is no reason you shouldn’t do something like this for your graphic novel as well. Below is a little sample:

Ha! I picked up Rust when I was at Comic Con this year, from the Archaia booth. It was not bad!
