  1. You guys are awesome. Great start!

    Can’t wait to hear more.

J-Bru, of course you know I love you but Daniel, I’ve been a fan of yours since your epic Kickstarter campaign for the App. I just love your charisma and your winsome passion for the craft.

Both of you make gorgeous images too!

It would be great to get you guys both on Paper Wings asap to announce your new show!

    • Hey Chris,

I’d love to come on your podcast to talk about anything you want. Plugging our podcast would be amazing too! I’m not sure if we will have much luck getting Daniel and I on the phone at the same time though because it’s already tricky enough to schedule our own conversations being that we are around the world. Send me an email and we will see what we can do. Thanks again!

  2. Thanks for this episode! At first I wasn’t sure if I could listen to a whole episode in english (I usually listen to german podcasts), but your discussion never got me thinking about the stop-button. ;)
    Keep up the interesting talk!

  3. While your mic seems to pickup one person a bit more than the other (Daniel was a touch hard to hear sometimes) overall well done. Nice topics, well discussed, can’t wait to hear more.

  4. Off to a great start, guys! I thought Daniel’s thoughts on the presentation of comics on the web were very interesting. I’m excited to hear more insights from your guests in the coming weeks.

Thanks so much again for creating an exciting new resource for aspiring artists like myself!

  5. Great first podcast. I was interested to hear more about Daniel’s background since I have mainly been following Jason since the early days of reMIND. I’m really digging the informal chat format, and you guys don’t seem to stray off topic at all. That shows your focus on the important stuff – I hope you continue on with these great discussions throughout.

I’d love to hear more about Daniel’s “marketing” of his comic since it is definitely outside of the norm, and very intriguing to people like myself. I recall reading a number of comments over at webcomics.com from people feeling the method would fail, but it seems like it has some unreal potential – something I’ve been giving a lot of thought to myself. I just haven’t spent a lot of time wrapping my head around it.

Anyway – keep up the good work, Jason and Daniel!

  6. Congrats on the first podcast. I’m going to listen to the second half today at work. Pretty fun show so far. Even though everyone’s path is different, its always fun to hear the diverse backgrounds that people come from and how their comic stories came to fruition.

Keep up the good work guys!

  7. Welcome to the world, Makingcomics.com! I read Wormworld Saga last year and was really inspired by it, so it was really interesting to hear the background behind it. I hadn’t heard of reMIND before, but now I’ll be sure to check it out.

Good job with the podcast! Look forward to hearing more~

  8. I am on the tail end of finishing my first comic book that I funded through Kickstarter. I enjoyed listening to this first episode while working on the last few pages. It is comforting to hear others going through the same struggles and I can’t wait to catch up on the rest of the episodes on the site.

    THANKS,
    Jason Love
